As the sky darkens in a clear evening above La Palma in Canary Islands, the crescent Moon and bright planets Venus (near the horizon) and Jupiter (top left) appear around the magnificent band of the Milky Way. The photographer was located above a sea of clouds, on top of the 2400 meters high Roque de los Muchachos observatory in La Palma, a place for number of the world-leading observatories.
